Cheap but for the wrong reasons: worn-out equipment, poorly fitted.

Friendly staff, quick 'n easy to rent skis. Would def go back, even w the little confusion over which of their online websites did you rent from (they keep separate each website's assortment of skis).

My boots were excruciating to put on - the staff really muscled them open in the shop to get them on me. Once my foot was inside they would wobble around, my heel lifting off the footbed and my calve sliding around in the top.

The shop was busy. The staff would begin serving us, sort one item of equipment, then serve any French customers who had arrived after us.

I toughed it out for a couple of days then went back for a better fit. We found some which fitted my feet much better but again, once I got to the slope they were even more wobbly against my calves.

We finally got all our gear and they gave us each a sturdy bag as it's a lot to carry.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. I cannot recommend them enough. I have had a set of burton boots for 4 years bought in England. Every time I have used them I have cramps and issues with my feet. The norm is to buy a boot the next size up but this is crap. The owner of the shop is very experienced and said that the boots need to fit. I spent n hour there going through some tests. He was really busy do asked me if it was possible to go back after the shop closed. In my return I spent 2.5 hours trying boots with different inner soles and combinations. Until I was able to wear them without pain or cramps. The following three days in the new boots were amazing. No cramp no tingling no pain and the difference that it made while boarding was unbelievable. I didn't expect to have someone spend the time and go out of thier way to help me. It wouldn't happen in England.
My advice is this. Don't buy equipment from people who only care about a sale and will sell you the wrong items for your needs. Go somewhere that deals in this industry all day everyday.
Thank you La Skirie we will be back.

This pair also had sharp edges running from the ankle around to the Achilles tendon. This rubbed badly and made me very sore!

We ordered online before our holiday in March 2013. We arrived to collect it on Saturday and it hadn't been set aside, even though their website asks for detailed measurements.

The best place to rent snowboard equipment. Specialized service. I recommend it.

We went there for hiring our ski. it was good value and very good quality.
The staff was really great. They offered us to take the material to our hotel one day before the material. We also lost one stick and they didn't ask for anything.
Everything was quick and efficient.

A very low-priority service for UK visitors, even though we were friendly towards the staff and spoke as much GCSE French as we could remember.

Each time we returned, the staff treated us politely and helped bridge the language divide. So the service was good, aside from our first encounter. But the quality of equipment was very poor.

Sandra

We also noticed the front of a binding had come off one ski - never seen that happen before. Thankfully they didn't charge us for this as the damage may have already been there.

Very good service and good knowledge.

A couple of other people in our group reported equipment issues from other shops in Les Deux Alpes. It sounded particularly hard to find good hire gear for snowboarders. We were skiing but still had these issues.
