It's a good museum to know what happened in WW2 but it's not as good as other in the region. I recomend to visit the town anyway because it's really friendly and has cute cafes and streets.

Very informative about the landing of men and supplies after D-Day. Films in several languages. Start your tour on the left and go clockwise thru the exhibits. Shop the store before you watch the film back at the front. You exit the museum after the film.

Nice place, the village is definitely a must for everyone looking for d-dayvremains. The French guide in the museum was excellent, however the museum collection is a bit disappointing. I have been more impressed by other museums on the theme.

The staff here were wonderful. I have a disability and they were so helpful, without being 'in your face'. The museum itself was very good. The dioramas were excellent and so were the model's. Well laid out with room to move and see the exhibit's clearly. GO VISIT.

So great to see what those amazing soldiers went through and beat those Nazi forces.
Almost completely ruined by those stupid French locals putting up a children's funfair ride just outside! Why?
An insult to our brace lads who gave their lives to clear the occupying forces from France on 6th June 1944.

Brilliant place!

Very interesting, quite detailed with graphic displays explaining everything clearly in English as well as French. The children were as enthralled as the adults

While it covers on the event that happened only there it was well done with many great setups and movie. I learned something new.

Small, but provides an excellent overview of how the allies built a massive port for shipping goods in a matter of days. Equally impressive are the ruins of the port that have washed up and also some that are still sitting out in the bay.

A record of the D day landings in a new and user friendly museum, film and slid shows along with models of the beaches and the Mulbury harbour, well worth a visit for anyone.

We were very disappointed with our visit. It coincided with a guided talk to French visitors. We were not told about the talk at the reception desk. When it started we were offered (or fended off, we felt) with the opportunity to watch a film in English. We declined as our party consisted of a retired and a current museum curator who prefer to look at objects. We also had two boys under the age of eight in our party, the eldest very interested in D Day especially as we live in Gosport, a town with a significant link to D Day, and where some of the Mulberry harbours were built. We had already visited the D Day Museum in Bayeux where we were made to feel welcome and where we had free rein to explain the significance of D DAY to the boys. At Arromanche we were actually told to be quiet because the talk was in progress. As a retired curator I have on several occasions given talks around a museum and, on those occasions, I have always apologised to the other visitors for the intrusion and would never have told them to be quiet. The Museum at Arromanches is small and we had to wait a long time until the talk was over to see an important part of the displays. The Museum also needs a lot of attention and updating and, in the opinion of our party, is expensive at almost 8 Euros per adult. If the staff had been more welcoming and we hadn't been told to be quiet we might have had a better opinion of the visit. It's hard to be appreciative when you are angry.

Very interesting history of the Normandy invasion. Miniature display of the roads built from out in the channel onto the beach. Didn't know about that.

Very interesting museum with enthusiastic staff who offer tours in a variety of languages.

Very touristic, suprisingly crowded place. Interesing for specialists or amateurs.

There are very detailed models of how the Mulbury Harbours were built and used.

A very poignant reminder of the worse and best our people can offer,we remember our grandparents and there sacrifices to ensure our species does not waste the life it holds onto so fragilly.

Excellent village with a very good museum. Lots of info re ww2 and the purpose of the flotation harbour and getting equipment to allies. Aptly named Winston Churchill beach in memory of the true hero he was.
