Their enthusiasm and skills are obvious. So glad we stopped here for the course. Also a good location for cave visiting

This was the best cookery school I have ever experienced. We were taken to the Saint-Cyprien markets where Ian gave us an extremely informative tour. We came away from that so very much more aware of French food. Ian is upbeat and makes everyone feel so good about their prowess in the kitchen. We spent the rest of the day cooking, learning the art of presentation and eating the superb food we had produced. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and Sara. They were so very welcoming. This is truly the best cooking course and I highly recommend it.

As we arrived at Le Chevrefeuille for a family cooking experience we met a guest in the car park who was leaving, she said, completely unprompted, "just arriving, you are so lucky, it's paradise", she was right. We had a fabulous experience with Ian and his family for that course, highly recommended if you have children even remotely interested in cooking, our boys, 12 and 14, are now so much more confident in trying things in the kitchen, sticking to Ians manta of "taste as you go". We got some terrific shortcuts and are still using the skills picked up on the day now, 3 months later. We enjoyed the family cooking experience so much we went back, en famille, all 13 of us for the half day cookery demonstration where Ian cooked some fabulous food for us in the open air kitchen while giving us hints and tips which again we're all using to this day. I'd have no hesitation in recommending any of the cookery courses / experiences either for small or large families, we had a great time and we'll definitely be back when we're in the Dordogne again...

And to top it off, the market visit followed by a fun, tasty and learning day with Ian as our chef teacher to introduce us to local vendors and guide us through the prep and eating of a generous three course meal. Sara was also with us to help and join the mealtime conversation.

Location - Very central, you do not need to travel very far at all to see some great places. The local setting is wonderful, great views and peaceful.
When - 12 Aug to 22 Aug 2017
Accommodation (B&B) - Absolutely perfect, well appointed great food & wifi in a rural setting. What more can you ask for? The pool, amenities & shared areas were all well cared for. Everything you could need for the children was available. This included bikes and helmets, football table, games room, plenty of outdoor activities. There were games for all ages & even a Wii for those who need some electronic entertainment.
Hosts - Ian & Sara could not be more welcoming and helpful. Their recommendations could not be faulted. Sara was available to advise and book excursions should you wish.
Summary - Will be back, but don't take my word for it, try it for yourself as you will not be disappointed.

Just returned to the USA from a trip to Belgium and France including the Dordogne region southwest France. Our stay included time at Le Chevrefeuille and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. This establishment is located in the quiet and beautiful Dordogne countryside. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. We woke up every morning listening to the birds sing. The hosts, Sara and Ian Fisk, are English, but they have been in this area for many years and know it well. They can suggest activities to do in the area (there are many) and places to eat. Our family took a cooking class from Ian who is a fine chef. We and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the class and the food was amazing. The Fisks' daughter, Alice, is friendly too. Our 8 and 11 year kids spent hours playing with her. I rate all aspects of this place a solid 5.

Brilliant. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed cooking together and learning about some of the local produce. Run by a lovely English family. The choice of dishes to cook was perfect and even though it stretched two of my daughters, they are now willing to try different foods which is a bonus. Thank you
