Loved it got to perigueux ~ sat at pavement cafe and used smartphone for nearby restaurants and read reviews ~ chose here from a previous review ~ what a gorgeous courtyard very French! (obviously!!!) So very welcoming began with cocktail of the day which was strawberry and champagne (7,50) ~ chose the menu 'surprise du chef' (27 for three courses) lovely superb hosting and each course was explained in English with coffee was given books of the area to read when paid the bill was told could stay as long as I liked in their shady enclave!!!!
Too pricey for every day but lovely as a treat will remember this stressless place when life gets hectic again back home in September,,,,,,.

Lovely garden. Delicious food. Amazingly gracious and accomodating with our young children in the garden, though it's not really a place I'd normally bring kids (we were travelling, had no choice, and asked for their honest advice - they said we should absolutely stay for dinner). Made a special dessert for our son. Food was outstanding across the boards. Turned us on to duck heart. Did amazing things with combinations of textures and variations on a theme. The area around there is also beautiful for an after-dinner walk.

Wonderful service and great food with one of the best selections of wine I've ever seen. The atmosphere is informal and cosy and they have an outdoor terraced garden area for fine weather dinning.

Voilà une adresse qui vaut VRAIMENT ses 5 étoiles : Le cadre est charmant, la cuisine est tout simplement excellente ....Inventive, raffinée !!!
Les vins choisis dans le cadre d'un menu surprise étaient parfait et enfin et surtout la qualité de l'accueil et du service : Adorable et pro sans chichi ni manières
C'est la seconde fois que nous y dinons et nous recommandons chaudement cette adresse : Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute !
