Loved my visit here. Lovely lounge, garden and restaurant areas. Perfect for a drink before dinner or to lounge with a book. I loved my room also. Definitely want to revisit when I'm next in France.

I fell in love with Brittany because of Le d'Avaugour. The location is astoundingly beautiful, with views of the town of Dinan from the back garden and historic walls of the old city. The garden has pockets you can relax and the front of the hotel opens to the markets and wonderful restaurants of Dinan. The location is perfect for a stay in Brittany where you can feel palatial and at home. The staff go above and beyond and are always smiling. They made me happy to come home to Le d'Avaugour...thanks to you Nicolas. It was a trip I will always remember.

stayed here in June 2014 and absolutely loved it! staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very enjoyable and the garden on the ramparts was the perfect place for an evening glass of wine. will definitely go back.

update! returned here for 9 days in July 2016 and loved it even more. we had a fab garden view room, the staff were once again fantastic, food was marvellous and the location perfect for viewing the Medieval Festival Parade! already planning another visit!

An absolute gem of a hotel. We have stayed many times now and each time has been delightful. It has recently been refurbished to a high standard but still is quite charming. The staff are so friendly, helpful and polite. Rooms good and so is breakfast. My favourite is the garden which is beautifully landscaped and is on the ramparts. The location is perfect being on the market square and parking is never a problem. All of Dinan is on the doorstep. There are so many good restaurants and shops right there and of course Dinan is like a medieval film set.

As part of a 8-night bus tour we stayed at Le d'Avaugour for 1 night; the location was fantastic - right in the old centre; with a fabulous rear garden as part of the old city walls. The room was spacious - even with a separate WC - and very quiet & comfortable. The staff were very welcoming & helpful.

Delightful hotel, perfectly located to explore Dinan's old town, and a lovely garden giving onto the city ramparts. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and clean. Excellent continental-style breakfast. Friendly staff.Only things lacking are private parking and a restaurant for lunch/dinner. There's parking in the square in front of the hotel, but it's not secure; and there's plenty of restaurants in town, but it'd be great to be able to dine in the garden (at least in summer, when it's not raining)
