We had the choice of several villas that would have met our needs –
all I can say is thank goodness we chose Mulberry Tree villa.
Not only is it in a fantastic location, its also very well equipped with literally everything you could wish for [including two bottles of wine on arrival!] and very, very comfortable.
What makes this place perfect though are the INCREDIBLE attentions of George and Linda. From the moment we arrived, Linda was showing us around the property, suggesting daily itineraries and booking restaurants and taxis for us. Nothing was too much trouble.
Dimitri, a local chef came and cooked for us and that was a real treat. Again, Linda sorted all that out and even rang me up a couple of days before we arrived to sort out the menu.
I could go on and on but anyone reading this review would be an idiot not to seriously consider this package.
One word of warning though – you need to book now for 2017, that’s how good it is.

We went to the Dordogne expecting to relax, see some sights, drink some wine and enjoy the countryside. We left having done all that and so much more than we had even dreamed. The wonderful hospitality from Linda and George, was superb and will not be forgotten. Their suggestions and recommendations were over and above. What else can we say to express our gratitude – the cottage so beautiful with all its amenities, the pool, the Jacuzzi, the grounds, the birds, the chickens and of course Dimitri, will be in our memories until the next time we return. Choosing the Butterfly Cottage is a choice you’ll be glad you made !
