The station is located in the middle of nowhere so one should be prepared that there is really nothing around. If you arrive early there is no nice little place in walking distance.
However inside the building you Can stay warm, dry and protected from wind, get a coffee, snacks and newspapers (french only). No idea if there is airconditioning in summer.
All in all a remote but comfortable place to wait for a train.

While just a simple station, and probably with limited facilities, I enjoy the view out over the French countryside.

Train station connecting Paris with Metz, Nancy and Strasbourg, in the middle of nowhere because Metz and Nancy couldn't agree on who would get the station...
