Fantastic historical place to visit for free. Learn a lot of Hugo’s life there, and the neighborhood is just so nice to walk around. Don’t miss it in Paris.

If you want to know more about the man behind Les Miserables, this is the place to go to. You won't find much about th musical, but you will get tidbits about his fabulous life and crucial role in the French Revolution. Admission is free.

Victor Hugo is really a friend to Chinese people. He condemned the French and British army when they invaded China in the second opium war. Very good museum, and one room is Chinese style with a lot of Chinese decorations. Chinese people would always love Victor Hugo, for his great humanitarian acts which transcended national borders.

A unique chance to visit home of one of the greatest French writer. Local students come here on field trips which is wonderful. Free entry.

The house of victor Hugo is Free. But the exposition in first floor is 8€ and it doesn't worth it . My advise: Go directly to the second floor

This place was a great place to stay: quiet, comfortable and close to transport, shops and attractions. It was clean and well appointed, and meticulously maintained. There was nothing to dislike about the place. It really was a great experience, and the owners were most helpful. Could not recommend this place more

this place is wonderful! not many people seem to know or visit this museum but the place had so many things to see inside. It was really nice to get a sneak peak into Victor Hugo's collections and furniture. The rooms inside the apartment are reconstructed based on historical data and it was interesting to see how well people reconstructed the space based on data. Even though I only visited the free part of the exhibition, it was so worth visiting. It would have been definitely more interesting if I had done some research about Victor Hugo before visiting. Taking a look at 'place de vosges' is also a must here!

The house of Victor Hugo is free of charge to be entered while there are some exhibition in the same building with 8€ entrance. So don't miss it which costs you nothing.

The entrance is free, but if you can afford it do not miss the audio guide - it costs 5€ but is worth it. Without it you can just walk through the rooms and then away in 15min, with it you learn something and stay 1,5-2h. I would definitely recommend a visit if your time in Paris allows it

One of the few museums you can visit in Paris FOR FREE! Even if you aren't a fan of Victor Hugo, it's still an amazing and beautiful example of late-19th century decor. BEAUTIFUL interior!
