Amazing huge market open 6 days a week selling fresh food and produce. Also a great place to eat and drink at lunch. Great breads, meats, cheese, tea, coffee, fruit, cannelé etc. Best food at a good price in bordeaux.

A lot of local delicacies. Definitely try the 'hitres' served raw - delicious!

A very local market with a lot of nice products. A lot of places at the market accept cash money only, so be prepared. Try some lunch here, sit down with locals and enjoy the atmosphere.

Great farmer's market, open every sunday until 14:00. In the summer, it is open every day except Tuesdays also until 14:00 (if I remember correctly).

We head here each time in bordeaux for a prolonged stay - cheese bought for eating individually or blended into a dish cooked at home

Selection of home made and locally produced cheeses is fantastic and the prices are some of the best.

This place kicks off early and it gets busy and then dies down heading to lunchtime/afternoon

Nice variety of produce, seafood, cheeses, sausages and much more. Very reasonably priced restaurants. Mornings early until noon or 1pm depending on each merchant. The breakfast pictured was at the restaurant by the entrance opposite of Marne. Cost was €25 including 12 oysters, wine, bread, soup, cheese.

A really nice experience. It only opens in the morning and you can see fresh fruits, vegetables and meat in the many stalls.. They also have a few small cafes inside and it is dead cheap - 1.3€ for a coffee (not the small ones, it was decent size) and a buttery soft croissant for 0.9€.

A little bit of dodgy atmosphere and a terrible parking lot but is worth it for the Moules Frites alone.

A kind of market I wish we have in Versailles. A place to eat and drink. Fresh and affordable fish stands, a wide variety of fruits and vegetable stands. Quality meat stalls.

Loved this market. Its very real, rough around the edges and un gentrified but that's part of its charm. Grab some genuine bordelais snacks and a coffee and watch the traders do their thing.

Try the Ceps cooked there. And oysters.

Quite a busy market due to the amount of people near the town and such a small city centre, lines for stalls etc but it is well worth it. Produce, food and wine is amazing! Must try the oysters here with some bordeaux wine!

Good locals market. Not huge. To a tourist from Australia very exotic with different pastries. There was Gallette/Crepery bistro and although it originated in Brittany it was cooked on the spot and is a local highlight. All vendors were happy to interact and sell 1 or 2 pieces for our "foodie tour". We got some lovely background info even though our French and their English had a few gaps.

Worth a stop for anyone with a nose or palette for food. Support the local producers and individuals
