Historic tea room serving hand crafted cakes made on site. Wide variety of cakes and drinks to choose from. Very busy at the weekend but midweek mornings no apparent queues. Shop at front where you can cakes, etc to take away. Restaurant at back if you want a more substantial meal.

Phenomenal pastries. Best chocolate eclairs I've ever had, and I've had tons of eclairs made by French pastry chefs.

Keep an eye on the sales guys. Ordered an choc egg (28 euro) and asked for the light brown one. Came home (3 hour drive so no return) and found he put the dark brown egg in the bag. AndI did clearly ask for the light brown one, he then pointed the dark one and said: this one? I said no the light one and still found the dark one in the bag. Clearly the light brown was sold out. Phoned him as I was frustrated, he would call back, still waiting....

The gaufre they made are better than others for a reason, the filling is so light and balanced to compliment its skin. But relatively expensive comparing to other shops.
