Very classy hotel setting. Two styles of rooms. Some in château and some in modern but contemporary block. Nice large indoor pool. Very good restaurant with classic French cuisine.

This hotel pretends a whole lot, but was a disaster. We entered the Chateau, and first thing they did at the reception was point through the window to another building. This was the hotel.
So this is -3 stars for their scammy photos and disinformation alone. The hallways from the hotel looked like the hotel from The Shining with its 70ties carpet and walls. We entered the room, and the carpet was not vacuumed. Decided to take a bath after the long travel. There were pubic hairs in there, yuck! The shower door and bath borders had red mold, yuck! Walls of the room had stains and scratches. Gf tried to get a nap, which was impossible because of a irritating buzz in the room, coming from behind the walls were presumably there were air ducts. This did not go away in the night. Did they ever test this room? Guess not, or did not care. Not that we would have managed to get some sleep until 3 in the night anyway, because our neighbours had an animated conversation which we know because it was very audible. Expensive hotel with waver-thin walls. Apparently no one cares. There was a big spider living in the top corner behind the curtains. The next morning we saw it caught some mosquitoes. Good boy. Bad cleaning. Similarly, there was an ant trail on the balcony, first thing we saw. Following the trail, it led to a dusty corner and a small hole. Closed the hole, fixed. Apparently no one of their staff cared to do that or even notice that.
We had dinner at the restaurant, which is very fancy, and expensive compared to a not-fancy restaurant but not for the fancy category. The serving staff was top notch and very pro, except they managed to forget both the wine with the entree and with the main course.
After the shrimp entree, we both felt getting less hungry and managed only half the main course and desert, after we left feeling sicker and sicker. Back in our room, we both had to vomit violently. Yes, they managed to poison us with the shrimps. Unbelievable, what a fail. We did dare to go back there for breakfast, which was very expensive, but the croissants were industry made, as well as the disgusting orange juice. The previous hotel was much cheaper, and had real fresh juice, and didn't serve normal coffee as "expresso". The small swimming pool seemed nice, but always occupied by the same children. Garden is great. All-in-all a huge disappointment.
