I reluctantly accompanied my girlfriend here, but I'm so glad I did! It was a fun and well put together exhibition covering the surprisingly interesting history of ginger bread. At the end, you get to see the factory that produces much of the ginger bread and other treats that are sold in the several other locations this company has.

Love their selection of gingerbreads, I visit the place everytime I am in Alsace

What a fun and quirky way to spend a morning! Highly recommended.

I didn't really like the gingerbread spice combination.

The shop at the end is huge and has so many gingerbread and gingerbread-related treats it took us longer to get through than the museum itself!

Amazing selection of Christmas cookies and cookies in general. Along with different sorts of honey, liquors, and thematic cooking things.

Don't miss this store if you're around. This is the center of Pain d'épices ! This brand produces the majority of these alsatian delicacies and in this store you have access to a large and fresh selection. Try the chocolate covered ones (including with liquor) that you can only find there.
