SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!!

Cold- The windows don't stay closed and were banging all night with the wind was blowing.

Cramped- Getting to your room, is a narrow stairway withe only enough passage for 1 person at a time, you can not even carry your bag at your side, ahead or behind is the only option. I was in a 4 person room that was smaller than a 1 person dorm room at any college I've ever been to. 1 single bed (luckily I was first in so I got it) and a 3 bed vertical rack where the top bed had less than 2 feet clearance to the ceiling. I've seen more space on a Navy ship. Admittedly I'm a 6-2 210lb male, but I could not stand in the bathroom, and had to squeeze through the shower door. Once in the shower, I was unable to lift both arms, my elbows were hitting the walls.

Bad Neighborhood- To start, I'll let you know, during my stay I witnessed an immigrant camp get busted up by the police less than a block from this hostel. The surrounding neighborhood is covered in graffiti, and not the nice decorative type you find in most cities. The locker room they provide has no security, and anyone including non guests has access to the space as it is next to the downstairs bar bathroom. The bar is constantly full of shady charters who are not staying at the hostel.

Good location. There is a bar in the ground floor. Grab a beer or drink a glass of wine, you will get complementary nuts!

Place to sleep. Narrow and incredibly numerous stairs to your room will discourage a quick run back. OK bar, no wifi in rooms. Good location though and generally affordable.

Warning to all travelers, do not stay here. If you want a dirty, cold, cramped, powerless/no wifi in rooms, and all around unsafe feeling in a bad neighborhood this is your place.

If you are more than size xl you wont probably fit to shower its rele small entry to shower. Also the stairs really small but so long way up. All night you hear ambulances and other viachles down from the street. WiFi isnt free in your room but in bar it is. You can charge your Phone via adapter or usb cabel. You can see Eiffel tower from window. McDonald's is across the street. Also metrostation jaune. Only a Block away garde de nord main station.

Overall good for staying the night, the hostel is close to pretty much all public transport, the host very nice and the kitchen quite useful. However, the room was cold and the bathroom window couldn't be closed making it freezing.

Powerless/wifi- There were 2 power outlets in a 4 person room. The room and hallways are poorly lit. The "free wifi" is only available at the bar downstairs, and is slower than when AOL first debuted in the early 1990's.

worst place ever i rather stay out as a homeless person then go here ... homeless person probably had cleaner blankets then us ew. went to charge our phones when the lights were on it was okay but once turned off it wouldn't charge at all!!! when asked the manager or whatever it was that why it didn't work they told us they don't know about anything and acted clueless and then next day we ask the other person and he tells us they have been contacting someone to fix it already. we have asked for a partial refund and the owner told us to talk to him in the morning and he will refund us some money bavk but next day we see someone else working there which was a weekend manager or so, so we asked them about the partial refund and he got so rude we couldn't get anywhere with him at all. we got out of there and i was full of bites. worst place ever it's placed right in the ghetto side and the noise you hear constantly is emergency services and also people running up and down the stairs. don't recommend it at all save up more money and go to something else rather then this!!!

We got a top room and had to climb a lot of stairs for each trip to the room. Didn't get proper bed linen as well.. overall a not so nice stay at the hostel. Few good things about the room: clean room and bathroom.

Sadly I had to cancel my reservation. I called the hostel and cancelled, they told me send an email. So I sent an email within the cancellation limit. I was surprised that they charged my card. They said that they never received my email, although I sent them multiple emails to the correct address, I even sent them a screen shot of the time and date I sent the cancellation email. But they refused to refund me, nor responded to my emails.

Dirty- The bathroom had mold everywhere. Sink, toilet, shower, all moldy. The floors were covered in dirt and the bedding was likely years old with stains and tears.

I really was amazed with the hospitality that the staff giving me. It's no other place I rather be but here in Peace and Love
