Great location ideal for railway station stopover. Friendly staff on morning shift. Comfortable and quiet rooms except for fire alarm going off accidently at 2.00am! Basic but decent breakfast.

Pros: Very good location, just a 2 minutes walk away from the place de la comédie and the old centre and a 5 minutes walk from the train station. The staff are very friendly, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good! Cons: our room was a bit too warm

Front desk directed me to the worst restaurant of this month's trip. Not his fault. The restaurant failed his kind referral! Pretty memorable.

Bel hôtel bien situer à proximité de la gare et place de la comedie juste en face.propre et propose des bouteilles d'eau gratuite pour ses clients geste très apprécier. I really liked the royal hotel close to the train station and in the middle of thz city center. I also appreciated the fact that the bottle water is free and you have coffee or tea in the room included ib the price.and also the rooms are clean im really satisfied of my stay

The hotel has a lot of potential especially with their location, but it falls short. Between the carpet that doesn't look like it has been replaced since the 60's and the bed that felt like rocks, it was a miserable stay. I would highly recommend that they invest in a renovation.

Room was comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated, had a couple nice tables and a few chairs as well, big windows overlooking the street, set in a rather romantic, classical looking area.

I had an unexpected night in Montpellier, and stayed at the Royal. It was a wonderful stay and the amenities we're great. Breakfast was excellent.

Decoration is not fancy and modern
