The content is well presented and entertaining. There are models of the various scenes and there are lots of items used in the war on display.

Great museum with many interesting things to see. Also a lot of things to read about everything. Unfortunately not much about the after war times, which would have been a great addition.

Nice museum and nice staff. Many preserved items and weapons from the great war.

At the end of the museum there is a shop where authentic WW1 items can be bought.

Museum is down in an old medieval tunnel below the town which was used as a air raid tunnel in WW2. Not much to do with the first world war. They have some good artefacts and information. It's only €6.50 so not expensive but 30mins to 1hour is all you need to go through it. Much better getting out and about and seeing the different cemeteries

Great and rare museum for WW1 and The Battle of Somme. Very impressive underground tunnels underneath the city where they have created the museum. Lots of WW1 weapons, stories, items, etc! Remember to visit the Thiepval Memorial while you're in the area. It's huge!

If you only have one day, as we did, this is the perfect place to start your visit to the Somme.
It is so interesting, with a 15 minute film in English and French which gave us ideas for planning the rest of our day.
It is housed in the underground tunnels of Albert which are atmospheric and you can almost feel and live life in the Great War trenches and tunnels.
Would be brilliant for kids to visit, the displays, written information and memorabilia are first class.
Pick up the free guide to sites around the Somme which gives all the information you need on each memorial/museum/cemetery etc.
