Kugerhof sweet or savory. sold by the gram. One of the best things you can eat in Paris or anywhere. Worth the trip out to Porte Doree. While you are there enjoy the many charms of Porte Doree - visit the Boi de Vincennes, Aquarium, Immigration Museum, chateau Vincennes. Vandermeersch also makes what is said to be Paris's best brioche. Busy all the time, but cheerful and helpful.

Lots of bakeries in Paris (you knew that) but only one Vandermeersch Krugeloff. Now I realize your Hungarian (or Slovak, or Austrian) aunt with tell you their Krugeloff is the best. And perhaps it is. But for bakery krugeloff, please find better and tell the world.

Excellent! Delicious bread and pastries. It's worth going out of your way for. The palmiers are superb, the millefeuille is magnificent, the kouglof is transcendent...everything is good here.

This place is a hidden gem of Paris's 12th district. Their specialty dessert is called Kouglof and each bite just melts in your mouth. Get there early to get your hands on this dessert, they run out of these by late morning. Also, got a chance to try their Fraisier cake, it was a made of semi sweet cream, strawberries and moist cake.

The pain chocolat aux amandes is honestly one of the best I have tried, and I have tried many. They are also know for the kouglof as they won a prize for the best kouglof in Paris! 100% worth to go if you are near
