I have visited the entire European continent through hostels, and this is by far the dirtiest hostel I have ever been to. I booked this hostel through HostelWorld, and the pictures were very misleading. The rooms are dirty - the bathrooms especially. Some rooms don't even have mirrors in the bathroom. Moreover, the 3-person room was actually smaller and had less space than the 4-person room we were moved to later. All the power outlets are very strangely and inconveniently located. Some rooms have rusty old kitchen sinks and stoves that are unusable. The wifi doesn't work the farther into the hostel you go. Towels cost 2€ and look like they haven't been washed at all. The locks and door handles on the doors look like they're all about to fall off. The kitchen is tiny, crowded, and dirty. The personnel is friendly, but that's about it. The coffee and tea are also gross, and there is no breakfast included. It can also be quite tricky to find. The reviews below are also quite misleading, as there are none from 2017. Do yourself a favour and book a different hostel or an AirBnB.

Very helpfull and friendly staff. The rooms arnt ths nicesr but are whar you could expect for a hostal. I was comfortable for the most part.

I have stayed at many hostels in my travels and this hostel I can say is one of my favorites. I stayed here for longer than normal and it started to feel like home. Val is amazing and the office manager Victor was... well lets just say he knows how to manage a hostel !!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

Many people seem to like this hostel, and I would have liked it as well if not for my encounter with the owner. I notified them that my bus would arrive late (11 in the evening) which is past their check in. He said he would charge me $10 extra if I am past midnight, $5 if before. My connecting bus was 20 late so that I arrived past midnight. I asked for a receipt for the extra charge, but he began to yell at me for being unprofessional, dishonest, and having a bad attitude (for arriving late). He showed me that he could make a receipt and added that he wouldn't give it to me. I am guessing he doesn't want this taxed or something. After I left, he tries to throw an extra fee at me which I remedied after a phone call with the booking company.
Long story short, the owner is awful and don't go here if you arrive past 10 in the evening

Very good atmosphere in this hostel located in the center of Nice ( 5min minutes walk from the beach and the old town )

The staff is very friendly! They allowed me to check in late with no problem. The rooms have private bathrooms that are nice. The beds move easily so that may be problematic if you wake up easily.

Stayed here in a mixed dorm, mostly young hostel types, but everyone was very friendly and didn't seem to mind that we had 10+ years on them. Best location! Beds were comfortable, always felt safe and secure and welcomed to join other guests outings. Bathroom was musty, but with 6 people using it I expected as much. Great cheap stay.
