Very nice, especially during summer. I enjoyed the Van Gogh collection exposed. The explanation were interesting and our guide was an art student which was at the time doing a thesis on Van Gogh.

Great collection of Van Gogh's paintings. Air conditioned relief from the southern heat. Photography permitted.

Wonderful peaceful gardens, so sad the history behind this, but we'll worth a visit, more so if you're a Vincent fan.

I was lucky to go this August durning the special exhibition of 31 Van Goghs, which I would highly recommend. The other artist on display was also very unique and a great exhibit, but I'm not sure if I would have liked the museum as much if the special exhibition were not going on since they don't usually have any Van Goghs.

Small museum, I expected a lot more paintings. Still, it's a pleasant place to visit. Photography without flash is allowed.

If you want to see Van Gogh, we would recommend the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. It is positively fantastic.

What I don't understand is the near complete lack of any other exhibits on his work, life, or time spent in Arles. The tourist office sells a map for 1€ that shows a route you can walk to see a few of the scenes Van Gogh painted around Arles. The Van Gogh center doesn't even explain much about why the museum is located in Arles, never mind tell you anything about how the artist spent his time here or what scenes he liked to paint.

When I went (early 2017) they had just one paint of van Gogh. I went expecting to see more of his work. The staff was kind enough to let me know before purchasing the ticket.

Small museum dedicated to some of the works by the late artist as well as rotating exhibits of those who have been influenced by him.

Seemed expensive and disappointing. There are 8 canvases on display by Van Gogh currently. Not a lot. I get it though... They're not cheap nor easy to get on loan from other larger art museums.

This felt like a bait and switch. As per the name, we expected substantial Van Gogh... but there were just 7-8 of his paintings, and then room after room after room of Alice Neel.

Not enough Van Gogh, but still worth a visit. One major problem--the absolutely disgraceful whitewashing of the donor's biography. He was an arms dealer who according to the OSS in 1946 was a major recipient of art looted by the Nazis. His plaque at the foundation made it sound like he was a wonderful man with a passion for art. Very bogus.
