A great site and really nearly gets five stars. Great setting very helpful friendly staff. Very clean and well looked after. Some of the facilities are a bit dated now - but are being refurbished so not a major issue but that's the issue with the five stars. The new toilet blocks are the best possible. Clean and very high spec. The older ones (about half of the site) are cleaned throughout the day and very good but not great and need work to push it up.

It's hard to fault the site though, yes it's quite pricey but you have to look what it's providing. The pool is excellent and clean and there are lots of facilities on site that are free to use and very good quality (soft play, kids playground etc)

Great place and hopefully we'll be back....

2) The food queues can be very frustrating. Basically there are a pizza and chicken Rotisserie kiosks. You can queue for 20-30 minutes or more to get to the front of the queue, only to be told that they'd actually run out all along, and are only giving people food if they had pre-booked it. It would be very simple to solve this problem by just putting signs up saying "Sorry only pre-reserved food is left". I saw lots of people turned away disappointed, nobody likes to waste time on their holiday, especially when they are hungry. It's an easy problem for the campsite to solve, however. I hope they put a fix in place.

1) A "proper" swimming pool where you can actually swim would be good, the main pool for kids is basically a large and shallow, "lazy river", which is of course fun, but you can't really do proper swimming in it. There is a larger pool for swimming but its for 18+ years old only. This seems a shame for kids who want to properly swim.

Lovely, well maintained place. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. The beech is breathtaking.

Definitely will return and would highly recommend!

If travelling far don't forget it's another 40km from bordeaux and it's a long 40km of slow roads so don't plan to just pop over. There's no shortcut either as the alternative involves a ferry, bus and a yak....

Great camping.! A Really nice place, lots of facilities, nice and friendly people working there. But only four stars for me. It would definetly get a five star reward if only they would have more than 3 toilets available at nighttime for one third of the camping. It is really awwfull to be queueing for 5 minutes to go to the toilet in the night if you have bad luck. Also a place to brush your teeth after 23:00 is needed for the last star.
The sea is amazing and I love the camping for its dune-character with hills and pine trees as well.

Great camping site! Lively camping village with all necessities nearby. Swimming pool and beach access from the camping site. Very clean sanitary facilities and nice pitches with a lot of shade. A very pleasant place to stay!

Direct access to the beach, good for surfing, walking and biking. Their pizzas are quite tastefully.

Good location, very close to Lacanau beach which is amazing for Surfing and Body boarding. There are also two lakes which are excellent for more relaxed swimming. Huge network of cyclepaths around the area. I would recommend something with 32mm+ tyres like a Gravel bike or Hybrid as they are not that road bike friendly and are lots of narrow trails, sometimes off road-ish. If you don't bring a bike or rent ones, you are missing out. The Yelloh campsite has excellent entertainment, two ages of kids clubs and also teen clubs, and they seem to be enjoying themselves. There is an on-site supermarket and bakery in the mornings, which is very useful. Accomodation was a good size and very clean. There is only one location for the bins and recycling, so you could end up a long way from them.

Stayed here early in the season around the beginning of May. Reasonably priced at that time of year with great amenities. Shower and facilities very good ! Also have a small skatepark, entertainment stage, large swimming pools, tennis courts and awesome beach access routes.

Facilities on site are excellent but expect to pay for them. The bar and restaurant are good but are not cheap. 4.80 euro for a large beer is expensive given the location and the shop is not cheap - 1.10 euro for a freah French loaf also not good - go to local supermarket and it's half the price. The supermarket is about half mile away.

Great Place. We stayed here for a week during Euro 2016 following the Irish team. The staff were excellent. Great location close to Lacanau Ocean. We stayed in a chalet which is great for a family. Loads of amenities. Close to beach with great walks and cycle paths through the woods.Would recommend to anyone.

Very clean place, well run, just one or two things I didn't like. The price of all drinks at the bar was too expensive. €5 for a beer. I glass of tonic water was €2.50. There is only one bin area on the site, so let's hope your not too far from them. Not to kind for families with buggies.
