Just wow! What an amazing place. First let's start with the parking spot which is huge. Than there is the memorial center which is free and is beautifully setup and gives a great idea on what happens preceding and during the invasion. This is well told by a couple of movies that are shown, but you can also view/read the dozens of info cards.
You leave the memorial center and are directed out via a look out point that overlooks Omaha beach. On beautifully days a truly magnificent sight. Hard to believe that so many lost their lives in such a beautiful location.
At this point your are with you back towards the cemetery. Walking up to the cemetery you are first shown the plans of the invasion and further into Europe. Behind it is the wall with the names of all troopers that have lost their lives or are lost in action.
From this point you get a good perspective at the cemetery that is impeccable. The grass, the trees, the crosses, the roads and all the rest is in perfect condition.
Such an amazing place to remember the fallen troopers that meant so much for the freedom of Europe.

This place is so extraordinary, so historical...with a different atmosphere. One of the mandatory spots to visit in normandy. Free to visit. Extraordinary visitors center. A lot of history here.

This is a very well kept memorial. Very nice and respectful to the ones who gave it all. There is a big viewing platform towards the beach and giant wallmaps to show the different landings on the beach. The ✝, ✡ and entire cemetery is kept in the best possible state. Definitely worth a visit to show respect... This place will take your breath away.

Amazing Memorial. These American gave their lives to set free today's Europe from the Nazi. They didn't come to conquer any land. How remarkably generous!! It makes me feel immensely grateful and proud.

Beautiful & moving. Very busy on the day we visited but once parked up it was not distracting. The graves themselves are very sobering but the information areas prior to the cemetery itself are worth spending some time with. Excellently done.

Each marker represented a Father, a Husband, a Son, a Brother that never returned to those that loved them. Today we speak of closure, family members in that day and time did not have that luxury. I thank the familys and the men who made that ultimate sacrifice for my FREEDOM.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
