Cozy place, in a cozy area. I tried only the mussels (les moules) and one dessert (chocolat mousse maison - home made chocolate mousse). I have to say that the mussels were among the best I had, and I tried a lot during my few years in Belgium :)
The dessert was so-so (I like it in fact, but I am well aware that my taste for sweet is pretty awkward).
Everything was sided by few Leffe blonde, from a Leffe glass - not always available, not sure why - on the appropriate temperature.
I am so enthusiastic about this place that the only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of its "frites". After all, hard to find acceptable frites after trying those served on Maison Antoine in Brussels :D

This is where the locals go, and there are good reasons why.

You can end up paying a lot for some pretty mediocre food in some of the other restaurants (we did). However you are in safe hands here!

Very cheerful waiter who has twinkle in his eye. He said he loved his job and you could tell. Good food too.

The staff are very attentive, friendly and speak some good English for those whose francais est pas bon.

Bottle of Merlot? 18 euros. Not 40 odd euros like the other fancy restaurants we tried. It's definitely not a tourist trap!

Got shown to a hot indoor seat rather than offered a bar stool outside where it was cool. Given menus and ignored for 15 minutes, not even offered drinks. Walked out.

A lot of choices in food: the menu is really big and suits every time of the day. The ambiance is great and service too. It's located in the middle of the city centre. The amount of english speakers is really bad though.

Very good food: they do these great little gourmet burgers which I've had a few times. Very high standard. Tonight I had entrecote steak, frites and salad verte, with bernaise sauce. Perfectly cooked (a point - en francais!) as good as I've had in any top restaurant I've had steak in.
