This is my worst experience ever I’ve never seen a agency like this before. Such a bad service and so rude, even called me to arguing with me. They don’t care about customer at all , I pay for this kind of money for what? What kind of service does they do? Absolutely nothing!!!

If you are a landlord, never use them to rent your property. Unprofessional service if we can call it a service at all. They do not check the references of the tenants they introduce, lie to you and push you very hard to make you accept any offer.
When things turn bad, they let you down and let you deal with the issues with no help whatsoever. But of course they don't forget to cash in whenever they have the opportunity.
Don't use them as tenant either. Their fees are very high, especially on renewals, and they have different people covering the files so you always have to re-explain your story over and over again. But they don't care, they are just here for the money...
Their e-mail system is a complete waste, they don't keep track of conversations. As an example, they suggested a visit in my property although it was already occupied by someone they placed. One advise, stay away!

I was suppose to move in that apartment I booked but when I arrived everything was so dirty and mess, so I cancelled that flat but I already paid all the rental fee, after I booked other apartment, so I was staying in Airbnb for two weeks to wait for my money back, during this time did they ask that owner where is my money? They just keep asking me did I transfer money to new landlord yet, so how I gonna do if I don’t receive money back? How I supposed to pay?? Ok agency just make sure the owner received the money, so how about customer? They don’t care, people from the agency told me “ you have the owner number u should contact her” ok, so what the opinion to pay the agency fee then ?? It’s your job mate!!! You are not helping me to get my money back and doing nothing! I send email they were not reply, you have to BEGGING them to reply.......so here is the service you called.

Until now After two weeks still don’t know where my money is. They didn’t solve my problems immediately, I’ll never ever use this agency again! if you are thinking to take a flat from this agency, I suggest big NO.

I had very specific requirements for what I wanted in my Paris apartment in terms of location, size, décor, etc. I looked at many websites and none had the selection that Book-A-Flat has. I found my perfect apartment on the website, made contact through the site, and within 24 hours, Book-A-Flat responded. Olga, Maud and Mariana are most helpful. They were in touch with me every day about the status of my lease, what paperwork was needed and when, and always responded to my questions very quickly. The apartment is so beautiful! The owners met me and walked me through each room, explained all the features, building policies, etc. I will be staying for several months and feel at home already! Thank you!

Book A Flat: A Trustworthy Agency
I have had the luck to rent a flat in Paris through Book A Flat, which is very good. Book A Flat provides a lot of useful help and assistance since I started to search for an apartment online before I came to Paris. Their staff members, Elodie Samouilhan Mariana Rosa, are very friendly and efficient. They always respond to my inquiry without any delay. I would like to recommend this agency to anyone who need such kind of assistance.

HORRIBLE SERVICE, DISHONEST and no client engagement skills whatsoever. Requested to view a few flats I had seen on the website with no response, finally called them to be told the lady would respond to my email when she got a chance, got a response 2 days later only to be asked several personal questions before I had even viewed an apartment, when I told the lady I didn't feel comfortable providing personal information before viewing or wanting to take one of the apartments, I was told this is what landlords request in Paris and how it works, which I have since found our is not the case.

There are dozens of scam agencies in the dated and bizarre world of rentals in Paris. And I'm from NYC but now 7 years in Paris. I have used Book-A-Flat twice. My first experience of 3 years ago was neutral, very expensive, but neutral. I recently decided to move and called Book-A-Flat once more - huge mistake. First, the apartments are significantly more expensive than any other agency on the market. Yes, they are furnished so they are permitted to charge what they want, I understand, but it's an astronomic difference that can be avoided by going elsewhere. Second, with that difference in price, you might expect things like working internet, working doors, keys to bicycle storage rooms, etc... as stated in the lease and as part of the lease, but no. And attempts to solve the problems are met with silence. As others have posted, website looks nice, but service and follow-up poor.

Useless agents... for the price they charge you would expect a decent service, but no. Ended up using another agency due to their incompetence!

Also when I called the agency to ask where my money is, one woman was shouting and screaming at me and so rude to me. i was so shocked!!!!!how you can do that to your customer?it's your job to fixing the problem!!!

Friends, steer clear of this agency!!!! So many places out there will give you a fare deal, this place takes advantage of Americans. The law states that you don't have to pay that much for an agency fee or deposit. They are clearly taking advantage of people who don't know better. Alternative sites are pap.fr or leboncoin.fr they have options. Use google translate if you don't speak French. You have other options, this is a horrible agency!!!

Scam agency, don't use it. I was robbed and it was an inside job. I came to Paris for a short term work assignment and hired Book-A-Flat. They put another set of keys in the mailbox and the robbers entered in and took a lot of my valuables. Radio silence from the owner who agreed to help.
The agency is claiming to leaving the keys in the mailbox with no proof and blaming me for not picking it up and threatening me to report to the police. The keys didn't have any indication of the apartment number so it is very odd that the robbers knew where to go) There are more than 50 apartments. They are taking advantage of me being the female and foreigner.
An agency that charged me the fees and told me to contact the owner because they didn't have his telephone number. And then I was promised that the lock would be changed and never heard back. So how I am supposed to stay in the robbed apartment knowing that someone had another set of keys? When I inquired the owner of the agency, see what she responded to me

Very unprofessional, the top of the pyramid is even worse than the bottom and lacks integrity. Just in it for the money, the aggressive cow boys of the market and incompetent as well. Flat owner's point of view. To be avoided since there are so many better agencies.

Every year I rent an apartment in Paris and always contract Book a flat services. I really recommend this company, for the selection of apartments that it offers and for the human team that have.

Such a disappointing service. Wonderful looking apartments but zero customer service/barely any responses to emails, phone calls and texts despite several attempts over several weeks beyond the initial automated email response. Avoid.
