I ate here with a group of colleagues early in the week. They were very crowded but we still had very good service for France and considering the crowd. Everyone enjoyed their food there was a good variety of local food. Overall I think it was excellent.

This is a classic off the place de jaude. Thé steak is always amazing and the truffade is probably the best in the town. Everyone speaks English if that is a concern but it is a wonderful experience all around.

Stopped in Clermont Ferrand on our way to Murcia, found Bouchon de Jaude by accident had a great meal, food very good, service (despite us not speaking french & them not speaking english) was good. So impressed we changed our return route home so we could sample more of the menu - not disappointed. Serves local foods, was busy but on both occasions we got a table straight away. If in the area would definitely go back.
