Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Nice views (minus the works in progress). Mussels with marinières sauce are recommended. The Mixte du Verdun (fromage et charcuterie mix) and a glass of wine will keep one happy for some time in the afternoon sun.

Depending on the day and if you are a tourist or a local the employees will be nice or not. The food is not bad but nothing exceptional, the fact that it's not consistent does help... But the square is Beautiful so it is a nice place to get coffee.

Brasserie honnête, personnel sympa et réactif, cuisine un peu grossière mais goûteuse. Toilettes propres.

I frequented Aix-en-Provence twice a year, renting an apartment and mingling with the daily hustle and bustle of this little university town, making acquaintance with the shop owners, neighbors, and market farmers and vendors. "Le Panini Cafe" is a favorite spot. Warm, friendly people with good eats and expresso. Nice place to hang out. There is a table and chairs outside by a nice tree.
Engage life in Aix-en-Provence with 'Le Panini Cafe", you'll always remember your experience.

The coffee was not great and fairly expensive. The two stars is mostly for the very unpolite and unprofessional service. The waiter basically didn't speak with us and ignored our request for more tap water.
