Extensive playground for kids and a lake for swimming. Grounds are quite extensive but pitches are quite spacious. Clean facilities. Nice one night stop.

We love this place! We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in the Vercors. We had just under two weeks at Lac Du Marandan and would definitely go again. Its a relatively small campsite, very quiet and friendly, most people being quietly respectful by 10.30pm. The wooded area you camp in is beautiful, sunlight reaching most areas at some point in the day. You are surrounded by trees so each pitch has the opportunity to put up a hammock to laze in. The bathrooms are kept clean and the people who stay here are respectful, cleaning sinks and showers after themselves and their washing up. The lake itself is beautiful and your view is surrounded by mountains. If you are camping you can go kayaking, play tennis or fishing at any time. There is a very good kids club there although we didn't use it and the people who run it provide lots of activities for the kids and definitely kept them busy. Reception couldn't be more helpful - our campervan broke down while we were there and during the mess of cabs/hotels/garages they were helpful and considerate allowing us to keep our awning and bags there long past check out. The local area is amazing, full of walks and views and things to learn, see and do. We will definitely go back to the area and to Lac Du Marandan.
