Autant j'évais été déçu par Royaumont, autant j'ai eu la bonne surprise de visiter Chaalis. Un lieu très calme avec des arbres magnifiques, écrin de tranquillité. La cafeteria est d'ailleurs très bonne et l'accueil très sympathique.

One of the gems of Picardie. Very quiet chateau and park with rosegarden. The ruins of the old abbey in the parc are ideal for kids (and grownups) to climb! Parc also features a lovely chapel. The chateau itself is very nice although in places a bit rundown. I love the upstairs hotel like feeling with all the rooms with the bathrooms on the side. The downstairs staterooms are quite elegant. Only drawback is that all the signs are in french. Staff i met were friendly. My favorite was the marble maharaja throne
