As I sit here at 22:00 on a Sunday evening, somebody nearby is playing loud euro pop. It is accompanied by a baby crying in the next tent.

Great campsite (good location, clean and well-maintained facilities and a varied animation programme for kids) where the owners and staff clearly enjoy their tasks. Add to that the possibility to rent bikes (oleron is a bike paradise) and good quality snack bar (pizza, burgers), and you don't have to doubt any longer where to put up your tent. Here!

Expect to hear late music from adjacent sites on the weekend.

Clean showers and bathrooms. Water a bit hot and cold. No shade on some of the pitches. Helpful staff and good bar and food. Very clean and good location.

Our third visit to this wonderful campsite was even better than we recalled it from previous holidays. It is a first class site from welcome to departure, from pitches to pool. Always clean, always friendly, and never too much trouble to help if you need it. The surrounding area and the island as whole is a great place for a holiday. We fully recommend this for a couple or family alike. The local food and wine are worth sampling too!

There is a bar/restaurant with friendly staff. The menu is basic and kid friendly. The pool is a bit small for the site at peak times. A lifeguard patrols some of the day. No swimming shorts - Speedo-type swimming briefs only.

Lovely, small family friendly site. Immaculate facilities and a lovely new children's pool. Great base for exploring the island.

Small but busy site. Tents and mobiles are placed very close together, so you are never alone or able to enjoy a quiet time. You park beside your pitch, so as I sit on the deck I can see six other cars, straddling the path.

This year will be our fifth year, holidaying on this site. We love the island and Domaine D'Oleron is great place from which we can rediscover the island on our bikes. The site has most things we want, including very friendly owners.
