Very friendly reception, good sized room (blue room) with comfortable bed, huge bathroom and separate shower (in the turret). Monhoudou provides a relaxing atmosphere with a genuine charm. Children (4 & 6 yrs) were welcome and fed early before going to bed. Cocktails are served in the garden at the front of the chateau. The 'haute table' dinner was excellent and diners were able to elect to dine together or on their own tables. After dinner, drinks and cigars are available in the drawing room. Peacocks, swans and horses grazing next to the lake make up view that greets you in the morning. Plenty of breakfast. Wifi is available in the vicinity of the central hallway. Heated swimming pool, swings and slide kept the children happy until we departed. An unlit landing strip is available 150m from the front door (tucked behind some woods) for those with their own wings!

A delightful, tranquil location for a romantic summer weekend. A 14th century chateau, in the same family for 19 generations, with a 700 metre grass landing strip, hangarage and exquisite cuisine.
Very comfortable rooms, full of character, a heated, covered, pool, billiards, bicycles, table-tennis and unspoilt surroundings.
Open July to September, you will be warmly welcomed by Marie-Christine and Michel de Monhoudou.
