We were there in a warm April day which helped the garden side. Gorgeous buildings, gorgeous gardens and an amazing view down over Nice.

An old monastery to see and perhaps to pray. The outdoor architecture is very typical ( a mix of different influences) and the indoor one is very rich decorated by very old paintings ( some from the 17th century who have been restored) and statues.
There is too an ancient and very rare seraphic cross of the Christ made of stone ( a winged Christ!) near the entry ( a copy is exposed at the car park in face of the monastery).There are still a few franciscan priests. You can so see a cross of San Damiano ( the cross of Saint Francis) like the original one in Assisi, Italia.
The altar is rich with an ancient golden painted wall with a lot of decorations (saints, little angels,...) and at the top a beautiful and tall statue of the holy virgin dressed in gold.

Amazing spot where you can see the whole city of Nice, as well as the Roman ruins and the Amphiteathre. Recommend going through the hidden stairs, after dropping off on the metro last stop, you will savour it more.

Beautiful, old monastery covered in murals. It has presence. Panoramic views of Nice from the gardens.
