Moreover, the building is on renovation and scaffoldings are coming to the windows. Since 8 am workers start to make a lot of noize and it is impossible to sleep. As I understand, this work will be finished only in March 2018.

The elevator was only large enough for one person and luggage. But the new elevator was installed while we were there, although we left before it was operational. Also, our newly-furnished room lacked a trash recepticle, but the cleaners kept everything cleaned up well enough until we got one. And the scaffolding that covered our window obscured our view, but is obviously temporary.

Everything was clean. Shower was roomy and very nice. Service was polite and helpful.

It's a small hotel in the heart of Paris. The underground station is 7 min walk from the hotel. They have traditional French breakfast with good choice. The hotel is clean and cozy, the staff is welcoming and friendly, but the rooms are tiny.

Breakfast
It is a very small buffet in the cellar - but you got everything you need, including the possibility to make your own fresh orange juice. Just take care and look at the expiring dates of the packed cheese and stuff - the "Emmentaler" they offered was more than 2 weeks over the expiring date (picture was taken on 2nd December, and there was no cooling on the buffet...)!

Finalizing, I could imagine that it will be not a perfect hotel, but finally I got an awful place to stay and to remember. My girlfrend was crying, her memories of Paris were darkened by the stay in this hellhole. We tryed to spend minimum time inside the hotel.

Furniture is old and limited, lack some parts (ex. wardrobe without door)

We stayed here for two nights in July 2017. The hotel is currently under going renovation though this did not impact our stay. The room was a little dated and scruffy round the edges (one of the ones to be renovated) but it was clean. It didn't have air conditioning but was cool enough with the window open at night. The location is convient for the metro and there are a lot of nice bars and restaurants. In all the hotel offered good value for money and the staff were always very helpful and friendly.

There were cobwebs on the ceiling, sheets and pillow cases were only changed after we took them off ourselves and left them on the floor on the second morning, room had clearly been smoked in (recently, and fervently!), and the staircase was blocked by heaps of laundry. This is a very dangerous situation as it is also the emergency exit!

A brand new renovation, tasteful and well executed. Rooms are small but very functional, provide all the comfort in one of the most charming parts of Paris.

We loved our stay.

We stayed 5 nights in the Comfort Hotel Montmartre and even though there are renovations currently going on we enjoyed our stay very much. We arrived at the hotel at lunchtime having booked early checkin at the hotel site. As the hotel had been full the day before there was no room ready but the receptionist Hanafi went out of his way to accommodate us and after only a few minutes wait had a room on the top floor ready for us. Once we got to the room we were blown away - the room had been freshly renovated and was just beautiful. We even had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The service was great and the renovations didn't really get in our way as we were exploring Paris during the daytime. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Will definitely stay again.

To close:
If you are looking for a cheap hotel without expectations - you might be right. But make sure you book one of the four superior rooms.

Rooms are tiny but pleasant. The heating is adequate. But the lift is excruciatingly small. Enough only for a single person with a suitcase

Service:
On the information in the room it's said, that they offer hot and cold drinks at the reception 24/24.
But they don't - we asked different guys and different times of the day if we can buy a bottle of water or a tea and they declined. There has been a water heater in the superior room that doesn't work (there was no plug, just loose cables...) - and they didn't managed to exchange it.
We got also problems with the reservation. They just didn't mixed up the rooms at check in, they also made mistakes with the bill.

This hotel is called "Comfort", but it is not comfort at all !!!

But the other room of the comfort/superior category was very good and new furnished and renovated, like you see it on the official pictures. You absolutely cannot compare the rooms and you wouldn't believe that they are in the same hotel.

I booked directly on their own homepage and booked with breakfast (you can add it during the booking as an extra fee which is cheaper as in the hotel (8 € instead of 10 €)
Although we mentioned during check in and check out ad showed and explained on the booking confirmation, they didn't noticed and charged us the higher rate first.

But the WiFi was very good...

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights.
Just let me describe my experiences:
We booked two rooms in different categories. At the check in, we got the keys and I asked the receptionist which of the rooms is the one of the higher category. He replied: "You mean the room without mice?" in a funny and friendly way which was great - at that time. He looked it up and said that we got the right keys. So far so good - as we went up to the rooms, both were the same of the lower category. Coming back to reception, there was another person who apologized and handing out the right key without any problems.

(I didn't had high expectations but as I am working in the hotel business too, I automatically take a closer look on things other people won't even think about it)

So let me describe the rooms:
I had a normal standard room - and this one was completely run down and dirty. (see pictures). There was a lot of mold all over the room, the handle to the "bathroom" was loose, the cupboard was broken and there were opened bath supplies from the guests before - just to mentioned a view things...
After having a closer look in the room, I wouldn't even be surprised finding the promised mice in there...

Bed BUGS came straight after we turned off the light, so we were bitten in a few minutes! After that we had to sleep with a light on because there were no other free rooms in the hotel.
Next day we changed the room but actually nothing changed because it seems these bugs live in the whole building in old carpets and beds.
