This train station is the end of line C of the Paris Region's express suburban rail system. When you get to the end here it splits into six different tracks. Many trains come here every day everybody gets off the train. There are many station conductors here telling you how to get to Versailles which is about a 15 minute walk from here.

To get to Versailles Chateau download the app “Next stop Paris” it will show you what type off ticket to buy. There is a “tourist” ticket for 7,3 euro from any metro station in Paris to this station.

Massive crowds when the palace closes so it's better to arrive at least 20 minutes early to the last train.

Everything was smooth and quick at this station with trains coming regularly! Very close walking distance to the palace.

A last train station for RER to visit Versailles Castle. Distant walk to the palace. A small town are also worth to visit.

There are three RER stations in Versailles, and this is the closest to the château. Its official name is now Versailles Château Rive Gauche (the "Château" was added after they presumably got tired of desperate tourists asking decade after decade if this is the right train). The train is very convenient once you figure out which one to take. It lets you off at a very ugly post-war shopping area, but be patient. Follow the signs and it's a short walk to the castle. Be sure to leave time for exploring the gardens, to my taste far more appealing than the interiors.

Ticket vending machines were broken. I remember It took me more than 10 minutes to buy a ticket so that I missed the train.
