Car was fine no issue but no response from customer services to explain random extra charges, unclear contract agreement and unrefunded deposits is a rip off and would i cannot recomend using them again

(Tl;dr they added on a completely false fuel charge post-return). No problems with the car, I was given a fiat 500 for ~£60 which was in ok condition. Upon returning the car, I made sure to fill the car up to full capacity only 2km away from the hire centre (even checked twice that it clicked when full, and checked it was full on the car dash). When the rep looked over the car and inspected the interiors, she said everything was fine. A couple of weeks later I receive a £55 'fuel charge' excess for not returning the car full. This is patently false, and I will be disputing the charge on my credit card. I did try contacting their customer services, but to no response.

The worst rental card ever used. Be carefull about the contract they make you pay a few but then they try to charge you for extra. We had to pay 449 Euro becuase they didn't do properly the check in of the car, they make you check the car alone because when is late and then when you give back the car they find somthing that was impossible for to see if you are not a car expert.

The only reason I've not given a 5 star review was due to the queuing system, just put a barrier in!

So I had no problems whatsoever - my experience with Goldcar was flawless, also since the employees were very friendly and forthcoming.

I recently rented with GoldCar. Appalling experience, from collection, drop-off and post rental. I would award zero stars, but unfortunately one is the minimum:

Helpful staff that spoke good English, we read the terms and conditions and decided to take the policy out before coming to the airport (so no block deposit) this seemed to make the process a lot easier than the people which came before us. Even with the policy added on the cost still came in better than the other rental companies within the airport. The car, although slow, was really clean, modern and comfortable. Do not be put off by the bad reviews where people have not seen the pop-up which tells you the amount of the block deposit before you even book!

This couldn't have gone better.
After reading their conditions and lots of reviews I was prepared for the hefty deposit (since I bought my own insurance), I refueled the car right before drop-off and cleaned it thoroughly.

1. We requested a child seat. This was paid for at the desk in full, yet when we arrived to collect the car, they advised that they did not have a child seat ready, and offered a 'booster' seat instead.
2. Their process requires you to accept the terms and conditions before you can even read them!
3. Their process requires that you accept their statement of existing car damage (at the desk) before you have had the opportunity to see the car and confirm the damage for yourself!
4. On returning the car, the agent confirmed all was in order and that the account was closed. However, a few days later a charge of €60 was applied to my card, with no notification to me to advise as to why this charge was being applied. I have raised a complaint through Holiday Autos but have yet to have it even acknowledged.
5. Never, ever again.
