First, we loved the location! The hotel is directly across from the train station - only a 3 minute walk. It is also on a "happening" street. We stayed over a weekend and the many bars, restaurants, and shops were bustling with activity. Fortunately, we couldn't hear a thing from inside our room. The hotel itself was very romantic, but the rooms were a bit dated. The lighting in our room was awful! No overhead lighting and the lamps were quite dim. While the room and bathroom was large and clean with numerous outlets, the bed wasn't incredibly comfortable and we weren't fond of the security features. For example, there wasn't a safe in the room, and to lock the door from inside the room, you had to use the key. Imagine if there were a fire! You can barely see with the lights on so it would be very difficult to exit the room. However, the breakfast in the restaurant was quite lovely, the elevator was sizeable for France, the staff was friendly and quick to respond to emails prior to our trip, the price was right, and again, the location couldn't have been better. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We came to Reims with a group of fellow travelers. Our stay was short - only one night. The rooms were simple, but comfortable, quiet, and adequate. We were very impressed with the gracious, professional reception staff, the attractive and inviting lounge area, and the bright roomy dining area. The hotel's lunch was outstanding - the unanimous favorite from among the many wonderful meals we enjoyed in France. We will long remember that lovely stay and I feel certain that those of us who return to the historic, modern, lively city of Reims will be sure to return to the Grand Hotel Continental.

Kleine verouderde kamers. Veel lawaai van omliggende kamers en straat. Slechte Wi-Fi. Restaurant niet op niveau. Vergane glorie hotel.

The location is very good for traveler useing SNCF. It is so convenient as there are many restrants and also a big supermarket near the hotel.

Good position and sensibly priced.Restaurants and Bars are close and parking is right outside.Reims is an ideal overnight stop off point if you are travelling from the UK across Europe.The Hotel itself is traditional and has the elegance of times gone by. I have stayed several times at this hotel and would recommend it.

I stayed here last night and it is an appalling hotel. Small rooms, mean beds, paper thin walls, worn and uninviting. The only good point was the helpful receptionist...but even he looked a bit dowdy.

Fine Hotel, right in city centre. Parking in front of the door. Nice room, good bed, super shower. Clean & comfortable.

The room was very small and decorated below average. The bathroom was not good, the sinks did not work properly and the towels were not enough and too thin.
The noise from the traffic was coming into the room and for that reason they had extra set of windows. The trouble was that when the windows were closed there was no air in the room and no air condition system either.
The staff was not very welcoming and friendly.
