Can definitely recommend this museum if you want to learn about Strasbourg, very in-depth in many events, although excluding the largest Jewish Pogrom in European history is a huge disservice and I was disappointed.

Nice museum, telling the story about the city. Felt modern and not old and dusty.

Great museum, much bigger than it looks from the outside, goes into lots of detail over a long history.
We were offered an audio guide when we bought the tickets but said no, wish we had taken them as there is a big city map that had a presentation on the guide which would have been good

Great history museum of the city and general region. Quite a few interactive displays too, with everything in 3 languages. Audioguides are also included with the tickets.

Still interesting though, worth a visit.

Very interesting museum with a very rich (maybe even too much) collection. I would recommend visiting in two times if possible (free every first Sunday!) because it can get too long after a while, especially if going with kids, and it would be a shame to miss on some of the details it offers.

Awesome museum, definitely must visit. Introduces history in very interesting way, you wont be bored even not a little bit.

This museum was our second choice because we have another in mind to go to but it was closed. I am so happy that the other was closed because this museum was really interesting. If you don't understand the intricate history of Strasbourg, this museum makes it all clear. A free audio guide comes with it.

The audio guide really has problems...even after restarting. But the content is really really rich, couldn't finish in 2 hours. Little confused with the Alsace ownership between France and Germany. Hope they could develop the chronological order of that period of time more clear.

Gives a great overview of the history of this beautiful city. Helps understand a lot of what we visited in town. We did indeed like the massive 3D map presentation. Nice multimedia presentation...

Brilliant museum, really interesting with a good range of exhibits. Tri-lingual plaques, and a comprehensive audio guide in English/French/German. I'll definitely be back to take my time in there next year!

A great museum
I had fun exploring all the different sections in tiny rooms, with a free audio guide.
But the service staff were all very unfriendly, unlike the rest of the staff I have met in Strasbourg.

Interesting exhibits, many of which are interactive to some degree. Right from the foundation of the city to the end of WW II. Highly recommend the audio guide (free).
