The hotel is within walking distance of the RER at Luxembourg gardens and also the metro at Rennes and St Sulpice. There is a small convenience store in the same street and larger supermarkets a short walk away, together with patisseries and cafes. The reception was manned by friendly helpful staff. There is a small lift to each floor. My room, overlooking the street was very clean and comfortable with a clean bathroom, with a large wash basin, bath/shower and toilet and a television. The wifi was free. There is also a PC in the comfortable lounge downstairs and reception staff will print documents at the desk if you are using a tablet, phone or laptop in your room. There is also a selection of books, magazines and tourist brochures.
The continental breakfast, served by friendly staff, was adequate with a pot of apple puree, a fresh croissant and a long baguette style roll, a selection of hot or cold drinks and different flavoured jams. I noticed a parking area for "auto lib" electric hire cars further up the street and private cars parked in the street. Rue Madame is a quiet street and walking back to the hotel at night, from the St Sulpice metro wasn't a problem. I would definitely stay there again.

An older hotel but very clean. The room I stayed in was quaint but only using it to sleep so doesn't bother me. No a/c and no shower (only bathtub).

In a part of town thats not so great. Staff is friendly and drinks are fairly priced but food is not good. Hotel is clean but very dark with small rooms. Close to the metro which is nice but far from a lot of amenities (have to take train at least 30 mins). Will not go back.

Byliśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu Café Hôtel de l'Avenir , jedzenie świetne obsługa bardzo miła. Polecam!

Small but very cozy. We stayed for five days, there is a good bakery just across the street. We found a nice fruit shop near here, you can buy fresh fruit and goodies. My daughter caught cold and sick in bed for two days, but kind and warm receptionist made us at home. I could go for a walk to the Luxembourg Park in a few minutes. The location of this hotel is convinient, and in safe area, you even find a police station near by.
