Fantastic service. Friendly staff and patient to non French speaking guests. We stayed in the older part of the hotel and loved it. The window looked like something from the Shire.

The hotel is nice architecturally, but it deserves zero stars; I give it one star, only because staff at the reception are nice. The room was awful. The kettle doesn't reach the plug, so you boil water on the floor (you must unplug the lamp and move the fridge first); the room has a tiny window and a crap noisy device that pretends to be an air-con. There are only two paper coffee cups in the room (that's right, no normal ceramic or glass cups provided), so you can't have tea and coffee later on. There are only two sachets of instant coffee anyway. For that price? How did they get 4 stars? The pool? It's small and very busy and actually unusable except very late or early hours.

All that being said, the bed is VERY comfortable, and the design of the room (in the modern part) is nice. Could use more plugs, and more conveniently placed at that. Location of the hotel is perfect.... very close to the train station, but far from the touristy areas.

Staff at front desk very helpful. This being October, the weather was perfect for opening the windows. Unfortunately, that meant the noise of people sitting out in the courtyard talking loudly at all hours, and the smell of cigarette smoke, as well as the intrusive sound of the elevator wafting in the windows. There is something wrong with the elevator, the noise is other-worldly. I thought it was a weird animal out in the courtyard until I realized it was the squawking of the elevator mechanism. I had to change rooms to get away from it, and could still hear it in the new room.

This hotel is centrally located in Avignon. The room we had was in the old part of the hotel and was quite spacious. I would've liked a stronger A/C as the ceilings are high and it can get very hot in this city! The blower was under the window, and you had to sit next to it to feel really cool. We overlooked a very unusual and beautiful courtyard. It was very quiet in the hotel, and the staff were most helpful and obliging. They have a bar outside, where breakfast is also served, but the bar doesn't stay open after about midnight. The parking was convenient, on site, at a cost of €18 for 24 hours. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy.

A great place for a 3-course meal and bottle of wine. Highly recommend

The hotel was rated 4 star but the service and facilities are definitely well below that. I was on top floor, in attic really, the shower is so low that I had to squat down to shower, not very comfortable to say the least, let alone almost slipped a few times. On second day there was no towels in room. Was told it would take a few minutes to bring me the towels but after 45 minutes there was only one turned up. Also no socket near bed so, so very inconvenient at night. The last but not the least no carpet in room and there is no slippers in room either, so very cold to walk on bare tiled floor. So Had to ask for slippers and a heater. I had to carry them to my room myself. The cups provided in bathroom are so soft and wobbly so, very difficult to hold water

Very unusual hotel in historic cloister. Small pool on roof. Quiet, exclusive feel.

You would expect a hotel housed in the 16th century school would have historic rooms, but that is not the case. The rooms are in a modern building cleverly tucked behind the historic structures. The staircases are weird. Great location and staff though.
