Waiter and waitress very pleasant. Dubious about 1st course duck gizzard!! but thought, give it a go. Not to our taste. Not their fault. Main course, we chose the steak - well! I've never seen a steak like it, one cut - if you could!! - was so tough you could not cut it. Maybe it's because they butcher the meat the wrong way, I don't know. We complained to the head person and eventually, after some banter, we paid only for our drinks and 1st course. NOT recommended

Service was sooooo slow and then the food was poor apart from the chips. Tourist trap with nice location by yhe river but much bettrr food, service and value almost anywhere else in Brantome.

Slow Service and very poor food. The first inedible omlette I have been served in France in 45 years of holidaying there.

We booked a table for 8 people for 19.00 yesterday evening. Service was slow. The quality of the food was poor. My faux fillet was 50% fat and gristle with over cooked fries. My wife had smoked salmon with green salad. She is in bed with diarrhoea this morning. One of our group complained about the size of her portion of dessert and was told to 'go next door to eat' by (we think) the manager. A small deduction was made on the bill. The wine was very expensive with the cheapest bottle €18 for very poor quality wine. Not recommended for eating. Shame really, the location is lovely. Avoid.

Brantôme .... quel joli cadre, mais il y a pourtant 1 restaurant a éviter c'est bien celui ci. Nous étions 5 et nous nous somme fais renvoyé boulet par le serveur désagréable qui nous reprochais de ne pas avoir réservé.... IL Y AVAIT UNE VINGTAINE DE TABLES LIBRES ! Ne pas y aller !

Very bad restaurant, in our daughter's omelet she found an iron skrew... luckily she didn't bite on it or swallow it. No excuses from the waitress... she just took the plate away as if this happens every day...

We were a party of four, two adults with 5 year old twin boys. We were told very curtly that it would not be possible for the boys to share a meal, they are small eaters as are many of their age. We then asked whether it was possible for them just to have chips - the children's menu was one choice only and 12 euros a head - and were very rudely told no. Also, there was a very pervasive sewerage smell - probably a loose manhole cover on the terrace. Rude service, exorbitantly expensive and an unpleasant experience all around. Don't go near it. Try one of the back street diners.
