Magnifique!! Chaque fois que je visite mes amis a Paris, je vais a la Droguerie! (en anglais... this place is wonderful...great service, very good staff and I love the selection here. Do NOT be in a hurry when you go here. The wait is worth it as you receive individual attention one on one with staff members. It is worth the wait!! Samples of the yarn are there to touch and when you order it, they go in the back and bring out pristine, unhandled yarns!! The beads are lovely. You peruse the jars (like a candy store!) Be sure and take a notepad with you so you can write down what you want and how many. Do NOT help yourself. This is the nice part of it...you get all kinds of advice and attention here. What some people may perceive as rude is NOT. After you get your merchandise, you are escorted to the cashier who will check you out!! Oh and if you see a book you like...there are samples of those for you to look at...and they will go into the back and bring you your choice all wrapped up...an untouched and beautiful edition of the book you chose! Wow! Great customer service and very good quality merchandise. Do not expect things to be cheap, but the quality and service is so worth it. Don't be in a hurry if you go to Paris! Enjoy the experience and remember YOU are a guest in THEIR country!! And be sure to say hello and good bye when you come and go and if you want to take photos, please ask as their designs are precious to them.

Really nice place with a great choice for any crafter. Since many customers seek advice and not only buy stuff there is usually some waiting, but the quality of products and overall experience are great.

It is a nice store but you need to be prepared to wait. I wondered around the store to figure out how the store runs and wait for my turn. The lady that helped me was nice and polite and the yarn was beautiful! A little more pricey than at home in the USA but still a good buy.

The store is very pretty, but it is very difficult to get service there, even though there seems to be a lot of staff on hand. The yarn is set up in such a way that you can't help yourself to the skeins you need and then go to a cash register- you have to ask for help, and then wait a very long time (more than half an hour) for someone to come and get the yarn you would like. I wouldn't recommend this shop for yarn at all, but the button selection was very good and had better service at that counter. I waited, but after half an hour I left empty handed. I guess they are already making lots of money and don't need to worry about these sorts of things, but it seems odd. I suspect it's better experience for 'regulars', and not meant to be visitor friendly.

Everything one could want for knitting is to be found here and much else beside. Rue du Jour is not on most maps easily obtained in Paris so, if you want to visit this delightful shop, make sure you print out a Mapquest or Google Map. It works to go to the appropriate counter and to wait your turn. However, I found the staff very obliging and all the prices seemed reasonable for such excellent wares. There are some great cafes and bistros in this area and you would do well, on a Saturday, to check out the flea market in La Place des Petits Peres just off from La Place des Victories not far from this shop. I had a great time just looking for the location!

Lot of different counters and employees, no way to find out where to stand in line. Being ignored so hard in every queue I tried. It was too warm in there to just wait in your overcoat, trying to figure out the system. In the end, I left without buying what I needed.
