We had two dinners here. Food was great at both. Service at the second one was rude beyond what is often expected of the 'typical French waiter'. So if you dine here beware - some of the staff has a very low opinion of tourists, and still has the nerve to ask for a tip.

I’ve been eating and drinking at the La Terrasse for twenty years. The foods pretty good, but the real reason I keep coming back is the location. Their terrace is a great place for people watching. The news kiosk at the corner and the École Militaire Metro stop and several intersecting bus lines mean there is always lots of interesting locals and tourists rushing by. In the morning read your paper there with a coffee. Before dinner have a drink there and watch the show. English menus. Friendly, prompt service.

This bistro is on a busy corner of the military school district, not far from the Eiffel Tower. It has outdoor seating with awnings for sun and rain, and is well placed for people watching as you dine. The food is very good. I remember the escargot and the French Onion Soup as being outstanding.

Came here on our last night in Paris, stayed right downt the block at Hotel de la Motte Piquet. During our stay we were quite amused at how many restaurants had outdoor seating that positioned diners to look directly out to the street to watch life go by. . . we called it "dinner and a show" and thought how great it was that Parisians could take time out from their daily loves to relax and enjoy life. So on the last night we came here, around 9pm, sat at an outdoor table and watched Paris. Now I know why it's so popular!
We had missed opportunities to have French onion soup so we made it a mission to order it here. OMG, it's one of the best onion soups we've had at any restaurant! Flavorful, not salty, the broth was delicious, the cheese was such a compliment to the broth. We ordered a club sandwich and a caesar salad with chicken and both were spot on delicious. Did I mention the frites? Crunchy, soft centers, it's what we thought fries in Paris should be. Many thanks for making our last meal in Paris menorable!

Way too expensive, small portions, the food is just okay (we had the chicken plate). The service seems to be good, there are many waiters walking around. Nice ambiente

After watching that big thing sparkle head here for a bite too eat. Good value, food nice and the staff excellent. They also have menu in English on the table so no messing about when all you want to do is sit and eat.

A former favorite café in Paris ... where service has gone downhill in recent years. And that's a shame. It's a great location, and the food is decent. But we've had two bad experiences here recently, including this week where the three of us were *forced* to leave two small tables---each with two seats---because the waiter wanted to keep them open in case four people showed up. Looking around the place, you could see many individuals taking up a table (each with two chairs) so it's unclear what the problem was. (And no one ever did take the tables after we were rudely forced to vacate them.) "Isn't this more cozy?" the waiter asked as we jammed three seats up against a single small table. No, it wasn't cozy. It was disappointing. And it's made me reconsider a place I've been visiting for a decade.

Really good food, a bit touristy at times, but it was an all around great place. Quick service was impeccable!!! I hate the classic European way off waiting 30 min for service.

Had lunch here. Rabbit in light mustard sauce was superb, cream sauce to die for. Waiters were arguing with a customer outside for 30 min, was impossible to flag down to get the check

Very nice manager and wait staff, especially for late night. Good pomme frites. Nice chardonnay.

Great food and great location. Very noisy at certain times of the evening, but worth it.

Great location on a busy corner with lots of outdoor seating. Great for sitting with a drink and watching people. The food was very good as well. Better than the average brasserie. Our waiter was great. He was funny, friendly, with excellent English. Highly recommended.
