One of the most, if not the most well known French department store. If you like luxury brands, you will be happy there. Prices come with it. Beautiful interior, just watch out as the place can be very crowded.

This is a pretty interesting shopping center. Very pretty inside, at least in the East building. Not all levels have high ticket items. The gift shop is worth looking at. Take the time to go to the roof for s neat view. It's worth going and seeing and look into the free fashion shows held there frequently.

Very massive shopping mall... You can find all the good brands here. Good lots of shopping experience. Nice view inside, roof top bar, restaurants, restrooms. Male and female section separated. Also parking lot. And in a busy place of town closed to the opera. You will love it and enjoy the shopping experience on good brands.

The most elegant brands in the world for your shopping addiction. Then you can have lunch at a number of amazing options including the Galeries Lafayette Cafe, and then follow up your experience with amazing view from the rooftop of the Paris skyline. Don't forget to visit all the artisan shops in the supermarket so you can have an elegant and delicious picnic later in the day, Always different. Always fun. Not inexpensive but a great way to spend a solid half day or longer.

This is a pretty neat mall with some outrageous prices (Very high). It seemed that as we went higher up the prices became more reasonable.

Great selection of brands all in one place! It is usually pretty crowded but a nice place for shopping. During Christmas they have beautiful shop window.

Yes, it is full of tourists. But it's a great shopping experience nonetheless.

Do walk over to the groceries area: there is an amazing variety of products from all over France and specialty products from many parts of the world.
If you want to cook something special and surprise your guests, this is a great place for inspiration.

A great place to shop for people of all ages, with mid to high-end brand names, including items for children. Extremely well-staffed with a tiny concierge to direct you at every entrance. This is a tourist-centric magasin, so it's wise to be prepared for extremely dense crowds—it's a bit difficult for small children to navigate. Definitely worth a trip to the roof for a beautiful view of Paris & la Tour Eiffel!

What an incredible place! Much like Harrod's of London, this department store is loaded with top brands, iconic fashion and exquisite food.

With no cost to just wander around and take in the best that capitalism has to offer, it's worth a look on a rainy day.

The most famous shop/center in Europe ..Designers stores under one roof.. Just a block away from the Opera House.. All famous brands for clothing for woman, man and kids. Perfumes, toys, restaurants, shoes etc..Galeries Lafayette is expensive, however, most department stores are !
The dome ceiling is just stunning and it is almost worth the trip there just to see it..
There is also a tourist section near the where you can buy souvenirs of Paris. Keep your receipts and get sales taxes reimbursed at the airport.

Beautiful building to go see, must go to the top floor and see the skyline view. Enjoyed a cheap carafe of wine up at the cafeteria and hopefully you can get lucky with a good seat and view! Would not think that I would enjoy shopping here as it was crazy crowded!

A great place to buy anything from luxury goods all the way to small souvenirs! It's huge, so be prepared for a full couple of hours of just wandering around. If you like to shop in style you'll love the decorations that adorn the entire department store. There's even a Starbucks inside where you can look over the store and enjoy a fancy beverage. I highly recommend checking this place out on your next trip to Paris! Especially breathtaking during the Christmas season!!!

Wonderful department store. If you like shopping, this is like going to heaven. Anything you can ask for in a beautiful old building. And make sure to visit the Cube Café on the roof and enjoy on of the best views of Paris

1. Employees don't tell you that you have to do the tax return same day , even when you ask them many times about it.
2. Tax return in not 20% is 10.8%
3. You can not do your tax return at the airport , they lied to me saying I can
4. Doing the line takes more than one hour to get your return
5. Buying in other stores outside of La Fayette will give you 20% or 15% of your tax return
6. Buying well known brands outside of La Fayette you will receive a 100% times a better treatment

It is also gorgeous to look at.

But there is so much more to do here than just shop. The stained glass dome visible from most levels of the store is a sight to behold. There are also riveting views of Paris to be found from the roof terrace.

Always a great collection and fair prices in a gorgeous setting, a must for Parisian shopping. One note of bad taste at the moment: the outside music is loud, obnoxious and ugly, truly a turnoff. Looking forward to a more refined choice!
