After visiting the tapestry in Bayeux, my friend Marie & I went to a very welcoming little cafe opposite the exit, & as we were paying to leave, we said that we were staying in Deauville. It transpired that the wonderful couple who owned that cafe had a nephew in Trouville who owned Le Pavillon Augustine. So we went directly there from Bayeux to try the cuisine and ambiance. We were overwhelmed by Arnaud's wonderful welcome and the restaurant is stunning & beautifully situated on the water. Our food was wonderful, the service perfect and we left feeling that we had made a friend. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone, the prices are very reasonable for home made perfection.
You must visit - it's a gem.

I felt that I was looked down on by the waiter because of my age (22) and it seems this restaurant is usually frequented by older and richer clients as is the general population of deauvulle.

I think there a much better choices for lunch in deauville where you have better value for money.

J'ai adoré les plats et l ambiance. Piano bar le samedi soir. Le responsable très accueillant. Au premier abord parait cher et finalement tres abordable

Love the cheese plate and the pot of mussels.

I ate the canette (female duck) with a side of flavourless mashed potatoes.

La vue sur la Touques, dont on profite grâce aux grandes verrières est très agréable, la déco chaleureuse et actuelle l'est tout autant et le service est très sympa. Les prix sont un peu au dessus de la moyenne, sans être vraiment excessifs. (10,50€ la soupe de poissons, 13,10€ les 6 huîtres n3) Peut-être les produits pourraient être meilleurs ? Mais c'est pinailler... C'est déjà très bien. Et samedi soir c'est piano-bar !

I also did not appreciate being asked to buy a rose during my meal ....

I asked the waiter for some water to go with the white wine (petit Chablis), when I asked he didn't reply and never brought it . I asked another lady after and she brought it .

As a recommendation of a staff from the hotel where I stayed at I had high hopes from this place but everything was very low key. The staff couldn't speak English so I had to guess what to eat on the menu since I don't understand French. They recommended me a piece of meat which I knew I didn't like so I ordered something biased on the price.. If it was a medium price than it would be good right?! I was so so wrong... As the cook took a only suspicious 5 minutes to make my dish I ate 3 pieces and almost barfed it out. Took 2 cokes and a smelly cheese plate to make the taste less worse it got worser... Don't eat here if you want to eat something good.

The meat was without taste, chewy and just not pleasant to eat . 4 pieces of meat with crummy potatoes for 25 Euro .
