Le Potager du Marais is a place I visit every time while in Paris. The owner, Stephan, is always so welcoming and the food is incredible. The French onion soup is a staple that every vegan must try.

Fantastic vegan restaurant, classic French dishes made better. Nice service and environment

Absolutely wonderful restaurant with extremely friendly staff. Amazing to find such a selection of vegan food and in a restaurant that's been around for quite some time. I had the French onion soup, which was delicious. Portion sizes are more than generous and everything is reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended.

The food here was good, but lacked the inventiveness and creativity of other vegetarian restaurants in the city. Mostly consisted of meat dishes made to be vegetarian (think a beef borguignon with seitan instead). That said, it was tasty, and the service was fast. The owner was VERY concerned that people understood that the first seating was from 7:00p.m.-8:30 p.m. only, and that we would have to leave no later than 8:30 p.m. He repeated it several times when we were making the reservation, when we arrived to sit down, and when we ordered -- the constant reminder that we needed to "hurry up" definitely took away from the ambiance and fun of the restaurant.

What a disappointment - never again. My boyfriend and I are stunned at all these great reviews. The food we received was mediocre at best. We knew going in that it would be over crowded (it was), over priced (most definitely), but at least expected the food to be good. His quinoa was burned such that it was inedible. When we mentioned it to the server he explained that this was the "smoky" flavour from the bain-marie and that we should use some of the soy sauce they gave us (???). No offer to replace it with rice. Rubbish. My rice was edible but flavourless. The quinoa burger and white bean roulade were ok but small, and nothing special. Our green beans were from frozen. The wine was awful. For creative, vegetarian or vegan food, our pick was Sense Eat. Do yourself a flavour and avoid the Potager.

Small cosy place with incredible good vegan food. Always full house, don't forget reserve beforehand.
