My piece of meat was actually so perfectly fine, the sauce was great. I felt a little silly or for lunch on my own with the portion of salad and cried they brought but I got over it. Nothing fancy but it was tasty

An institution in Bordeaux. Very, very nice service (a lot better compare to the Brasserie l'Europe in the Grand Hotel). The food is quite classical but it's good and stable quality.

Jaust was in the Café le Régent. I paid 4 euro for a coffe, the same for a apricot juice and again 4 euro for a Schweppes Tonic. Service is minimal. If you have the crazy idea to go to the loo, you have to pay another 1.50 euro! I have never seen this anywhere in the world - and I have been around ...
Yesterday noon I was in Vienna (Austria) at the Café Mozart, next to Hotel Sacher, just behind the State Opera (one of the 4 pr 5 most prestiogious opera house in the world) and in front of the fasmous Albertina Museum (the largest collection of etchings in the world). I paid exactly the same sum for the same drinks plus two large and exquisite pastries, an Apfelstrudel and a Estherhazy Torte, with excellent service and naturally free toilets.

Good/simple French bistro. Definetly try the duck or the steak
