We were received by the charming and multilingual Francois and his wife Olga in their very original house. It is the result of a lifetime of endeavours to create an exceptional home. On top of of this we were served a first-class dinner. We strongly recommend this Chambre d'hôtes to anyone visiting the area of Orleans.

Nice couple, beautiful house but no, no, no as far as kids are concerned! Francois is an antique collector and the house is festooned with extremely breakable objects with little cards explaining the antiquity and past use of the object. Woe betide any child getting too close, you are likely to be urged by Francois to keep them ona tight leash! Me being a vegetarian also prompted a lot of harumphing and we werre then asked to pay " a bit more" because, said Francois, we had been "a lot of work"! I mean seriously, they both mean well and any adult will have a very pleasant stay here but do not under any circumstances bring kids!

We had a most enjoyable stay at Maison d'Autrefois, and Francois and Olga were very welcoming hosts. Our evening meal was excellent; and we had a good, peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast was comprehensive, with lots of coffee, and we were able to look around the house to see a vast collection of antiques and memorabilia.
Good, up to date, and a great place to stay.

Traveling in the Loire Valley in France we were lucky enough to find a superb bed and breakfast. Francois and Olga Herpin were the consummate hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Francois is an excellent chef and we enjoyed his gourmet cuisine!

Fabulous hosts who really care about your comfort and well-being. The museum of "objets insolites" is a total bonus as are the delicious meals. Excellent rapport qualité/ prix!

I would thoroughly recommend Maison d'autrefoise. It is like stepping back in time with a wonderful collection of antiques. Francois and Olga are excellent hosts who will spoil you with amazing food and stories. Do not miss out if you are thinking of booking!
