All in all, a perfect stay. We will stay here again the next time we're in Aix, no question.

The owner's taste is perfect; the apartment is elegantly furnished, with high ceilings, huge windows, beautiful white trim, hardwood and Provencal tile floors, a fireplace, a rain shower, a very comfortable bed, and a full modern kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher (not always offered in European homes) and a full complement of silverware, dishes, and pans. The wireless was speedy and easy to access. There was air conditioning as well but it was so nice, we usually just opened the windows. Our bedroom window opened to a lovely view of trees in a private courtyard and our front windows looked out onto a picturesque Aix lane.

We had requested the first-floor apartment above the art gallery, and there were others staying in the two apartments above us, but the walls and floors are so thick we never even heard them and rarely saw them. We used Aix-en-Provence as a very convenient base for exploring Aix and the Provence/Luberon region, and this was our home away from home.

The proprietor herself, Veronique, was extremely helpful. She speaks English perfectly and gave us recommendations for shopping (her favorite cheese shop and cheeses quickly became our favorites as well), restaurants, and sights to see that were spot on. Before we arrived in France, she even made reservations for us at a handful of restaurants who would only take reservations by phone, and she wouldn't accept extra money for doing this, even though it was hugely helpful to us. (Reservations are required at most French restaurants.) She was always available for questions in person or via phone or text. When we arrived, she took us to the parking garage in person so we would know exactly how to get there and where to park. She made sure our apartment was completely secure - there were three locked doors to get through. She even carried in our luggage and made sure coffee was stocked every morning; her housekeeping staff cleaned our apartment every day and gave us fresh towels. There were towels and slippers for us in the bathroom.

At one point in the parking garage a Frenchman in front of us got his car stuck in front of the exit and neither of our cars could get out of the parking garage. The man asked me to call our hotel, and Veronique responded immediately and started out to the garage to save us. (Luckily the Frenchman figured out the issue and we were able to text Veronique that we had gotten out.) And by the way, the parking garage is completely worth the very reasonable 20-euro fee!

Chambre magnifique et spacieuse, proprietaire tres accueillante, appart/hotel tres bien situe dans Aix. Pas d'ascenseur, mais il n'y a que trois etages.

Appartamento situato molto comodo al centro di Aix, dotato di ogni comfort, non mi è piaciuta però la suddivisione degli ambienti: avere il lavabo in camera da letto è scomodo per chi dorme e per chi lo usa.
Gli appartamenti so bo sopra una galleria d'arte e la proprietaria è gentile, all'arrivo ci ha accompagnati personalmente al garage e ci ha chiesto già di saldare il conto.
Non consiglio assolutamente la colazione nel bar convenzionato è di pessima qualità, conviene farla in uno dei tanti altri bar.

We loved, loved, loved this apartment! It is, hands down, one of the best places we've stayed. Its location was perfect - just a few short blocks from the Cours Mirabeau (the main boulevard in Aix's historic city center) so restaurants, shops, and the city's famous fountains were all within effortless walking distance, but just far enough into a primarily residential district that it was private and quiet.
