Great attraction for adults and kids alike. Really informative and the owner takes great delight in sharing his passion with visitors. Real good value for money, especially compared with other tourist traps which are way pricier. Would definitely recommend! Great fun (don't forget to do the smell test!). Our 2 kids (7 and 4 yo) both loved it and so did we!

A charming boutique museum, chronicling the history of chivalry, focused mostly within the context of medieval France. Exhibit signs are in French, English and Spanish. The curator/owner has a wealth of knowledge on the subject, as well as insight into the castle's various architectural features and local history.

J'espère pouvoir y retourner pour la version sorcellerie à Halloween !

- You can have fun taking pictures and shooting a toy crossbow.

- IN MY OPINION: Just another tourist trap. Better ways to invest the money in the city...

3) Inner courtyard for shooting with a toy crossbow (probably the only thing you can enjoy there).

- Correct staff.

Une expérience très sympathique et donnant envie de vivre quelques temps à l'époque médiévale ! La taille de la maison fait qu'il y a beaucoup à découvrir sans être pour autant submergé d'informations. Les activités sont vraiment chouettes aussi bien pour les adultes que pour les enfants.
Le propriétaire est très sympa et nous a fait apprécier encore plus la visite !

- Really disappointing: Looks like the owner bought a box of medieval stuff in a market and decorated the flat... (No references to the huge history of Carcassone).

CONS (JUST TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT):

2) Scarce and wrong translated cards with simple information.

- NOT A MUSEUM OR ANYTHING ALIKE.

Superbe lieu. Il y a des explications sur ce qui est exposé (les armes et armures, les habits de l'époque,...) mais ce n'est pas vraiement un musée. Très petit mais très joli. Il y a même un film sur les façons de vivre au moyen-âge.

1) Three rooms of a two level flat with tacky replicas of 4 medieval weapons, a chair and an armour (easily encountered in a flea market...), and a box with 2 robes, a pair of gloves, a sword and one helmet for taking pictures.

Une agréable surprise. La taille est relativement petite mais finalement cela crée une atmosphère appropriée. Je recommande.
