Large art collection, really unexpected in such a small city. Also, the exposition about Queen Caroline was great. The only negative point was that the museum just accept cash for the tickets.

A little gem. This museum has the second largest collection of Italian paintings in France after Le Louvre in Paris. Not to be missed!

Tarif plein (8€) pour une demi-visite. Le premier étage est fermé mais personne n'en parle à la billetterie. Et on me sollicite pour encore payer une entrée pour La Chapelle attenante. Impression bien décevante, je venais justement pour les primitifs italiens !

Not a enormous museum, but has some pretty amazing paintings. Recommend downloading their app for a guided experience during the visit.

Gran recopilación de obras de arte llevada a cabo por el Cardenal Fesch, tío de Napoleón Bonaparte y gran entusiasta de la pintura. Recoge también una sala de pintura exclusivamente de artistas corsos. Ubicado en el Palacio Fesch, al lado de la biblioteca, por cierto interesante también.

This is a wonderful collection of mainly Italian Art housed in a really beautiful and elegant museum. It is of great historical interest to anyone who loves Corsica, Italy or painting. A lot of the paintings were collected by Napoleon's uncle, Cardinal Fesch, in the period when the Bonapartes ruled most of Europe.
While the range of art is quite limited by the standards of some world museums, mainly dating from the 16th-18th centuries, there is a lot of really excellent stuff here and the museum deserves to be better known. This is one of the highlights of Ajaccio which is a fascinating town with lots to do and enjoy.
