Just quite simply an amazing place. The architecture of the main cathedral is just stunning in modernist concrete curves playing with the light and shadow in all sorts of fascinating ways. As an atheist Le Corbusier never wanted to design churches but apparently capitulated toward the end of his career; the world is a better place for having this monument to modernism. An amazing place, with the added bonus of the monastery carved into the hillside and visitors centre being designed by Renzo Piano. A great place to visit and marvel at the delights of modernism.

A beautiful church built by a famous french architect known as Le Corbusier. Unlike the typical catholic cathedral with gothic or renaissance influence, this place offers surrealism mixed with minimalism in its architecture. When you go inside you would also see that the wall is decorated with colorful glass in different shapes and when the sun light hits on it, it projects a stunning lighting effects in the interior. Amazing and historical place, a must visit.

Wonderful light experience. And I have been studying this place... The play of light is very nice... Ar Le Cob had successfully achieved it.. and giving us architect a lesson..

Excellent! Getting there is tough, but well worth the trip. Entry fee is reasonable and staff did a good job preserving and presenting this architectural treasure. Still in use by nuns and the community today!
