One of the most beautiful spots in Annecy, and IMO one of the most charming places in Europe. I am totally in love with Annecy and this Palais.

Picture postcard perfect. The iconic view of Annecy. Undergoing some renovation July 2017 but open again for tours now. Has had a varied history both as jail and local Mint and must see as part of your exploration of the town.

Very nice attraction, very cheap entry and full of information about the building and it's role over the years. As we entered we were greeted by a English speaking guide who explained lots of the history of the building, very knowledgeable + helpful.

Such beautiful scenery, can't miss it if you're around.
Make sure to dip in Lac Annecy, it's perfect

Awesome place to walk around. Lots of interesting history as well. There is a shopping street nearby as well.

Newly restored, not expensive to visit and worth the price. One can see in what conditions prisoners were kept in medieval ages and onwards.

I would love to see it when its not being renovated - was entirely covered in scaffodling and plastic.

So wonderful here. We were greeted by a very nice English speaking lady which explained the building and how many floors etc. Wish we could go on the front but it was closed.

It was interesting to know about the history of the structure, but just the underground collection was absorbing cause it explained about the history with the real objects, but the other parts of the museum was just representing some small photos and it was more explanation rather than putting the visitors in the real sense of the history.
