Beautiful basilica. If you can manage the steps (300ish of them), I would recommend the climb to the dome. With Paris and the Eiffel Tower in the background, stone gargoyles in the foreground, the view is spectacular.

On a cooler winter’s day and blessed with a blue clear sky, I sat myself down on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur and try my hardest to inch this view into my memory. The sound of a harp playing nearby, the bustle of people up and down the steps, the cool breeze of the wind, it’s just perfect.

great views, step stairs (but you can take a cable car for the worst part)

A wonderful Basillica and an unique view of the city!

Square Louise Michel, this is the square at the foot of Montmartre, and it’s the easiest fastest access up to Sacré-Coeur. But don’t take the easy road. Best to start your exploration of Montmartre from the metro, and wind your way up and down the long way up.

This is a review for the Basilica in Marseille, France. Lovely basilica. Peaceful and quiet, voluminous and awe-inspiring, this sits on an unassuming corner on Avenue du Prado on one of the main avenues in Marseille. Beautiful story-telling stained glass featuring blues on one level and reds towards the ceiling. Well worth strolling to this site to stop in.

The “crown” of Montmartre, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, aka Sacré-Cœur. Compared to many other basilicas, this one is pretty new as it was completed only about 100 years ago. The square outside offers perhaps the best panoramic view of the city of Paris.

A must, IMO. Not just the church but the whole Montmartre area. Wonderful view. Great little restaurants/shops and artists working outdoor. Go down the hill from the village and discover more boutiques and a great little artist neighborhood

It's so beautiful. It was well worth the walk up all those steps. The view is fantastic!

Fantastic panoramic view of Paris. There are a couple different ways to get there and if you decided to go walking be aware that it's quite a steep hill climb. Watch out for pick pockets around the area and some "well intentioned" people willing to catch your hand and tie a string around your finger/wrist, it's a scam!

On the day of visit, I was happy to see a harp right on the steps being played. Being a musician myself, I am always drawn to music and in particular street music. I’m perpetually fascinated when there are buskers or street bands entertaining outdoors. Do drop them a loose change, they are filling the air with joy and they deserve to be rewarded for it.

Absolutely stunning with great views of Paris! You will get harassed by people trying to sell you things though

On top of the hill with a marvellous view of Paris. Worth a visit. Crazily busy on weekends.
